This is a beautiful dan cong tea! The dry leaves have a lovely orchid scent similar to a high quality lightly roasted Tieguanyin. As soon as the leaves are moist and warm they started excusing spicy notes that almost reminded of ginger. The tea liquor has a lovely red-orange slightly pink peachy color with lovely vibrancy. The tea has a light orchid and spicy fragrance that has plenty of layers with stone fruits, vanilla and faint hints of cardamom. The tea has a thin and refreshing mouth feel but is still comforting. The taste is very well balanced and hardly goes bitter even on the later brews. I wished for a slightly more pronounced fragrance and taste from the tea itself, the moist leaves were more promising in that regard. I might try brewing it again with more leaves to achieve this effect. Overall I can recommend this tea as a good, albeit not exceptional dancong.

Aroma like peach jam and drinking like peach juice. Refreshing, I bet this would be incredible with cold brew on a summer day. Cant stop smelling the wet leaves and drinking it!
