Story of this tea:

Ask every Chinese Southerner, they will tell you their fragrant memories of Osmanthus tree and sweet osmanthus pastries.🍡 This yellow golden flower is so important in our culture that more than 20 cities in China name osmenthus as their "Flower of the City". The edible sweet osmanthus is used to flavor sticky rice pastries, honey, rice liquor, and not surprisingly, tea.
We have received farmer Luo's 👩‍🌾 Osmanthus black tea for the second year now (Chicken Farm Blossom). She's a lady with her own strong ideas about making tea. 😆 She reduced the proportion of sweet osmanthus in the tea this year, and told us that this is her best version so far (though I miss the stronger and more noticeable osmanthus aroma in previous year's patch.) But we can easily notice, behind her tea-making philosophy, Chinese tea makers' views on flavouring the tea. They believe that the tea is always the protagonist, and flower is the supporting role.
That's why this is her favorite version of the tea, the osmanthus doesn't stand out strongly in its own aroma, but it gives the tea a particularly sweet, fresh and juicy character. Tea and flower are harmonious together. 😌😌

Tea's growing environment:

This is a fact: Mountains and mists nourish good teas. 😆 "Chicken Farm" village enjoys this supreme nature and China's best water. While teas are happy surrounded by mountains and valleys. It took Peng several hours by car to reach the "nearby" farms. 😂
The "curse" in poor transportation and poor industrialization opportunities is, however, a gift of an unadulterated nature, pure water and excellent tea. 👩‍🌾👨‍🌾
