1.SHINCHA LIMITED (CHAGUSABA FARMING)
From Shimada, Shizuoka
Tea grower from Shimada farm utilizes the UNESCO designated World Heritage agricultural tradition, Chagusaba, to cultivate his tea leaves. This tradition requires farmers to cultivate sasa grasses surrounding the tea fields, and use the grasses as fertilizer in the fields.
This steamed tea leaves create a balanced and harmonious taste profile, beautiful green liquor. Taste is full-bodied, grassy and creamy texture.
2. IMPERIAL SENCHA YAME TSUHIME
from Yame, Shizuoka
Note: heavenly delicate and sweet - this tea is the most premium from Kurihara Tea farm. Sweet, delicious and full-bodied.
3. STRAW SHADED FUKAMUSHI SENCHA
From Chiran, Kagoshima
Note: Using the traditional method (which is rarely seen nowadays) of straw-weaved cover to shade the tea bushes, is what makes this tea precious. The color is cloudy green and the taste is deep, umami and thick.
4. AWARD-WINNING SAEMIDORI YAME SENCHA
From Yame, Shizuoka
Note: Amazingly sweet and mellow! This tea offers a rich umami taste although with zero shading. Enjoy it like gyokuro tea. And make sure to try ice cube brewing. You will have a lot of fun with this award-winning new harvest tea from Yame!
