Category: First flush green tea, wild-grown
Origin: Anhua Town, Hunan, China
A heart-warming fine tea made up of wild-grown spring leaf buds rolled into needles. The aroma reminds green vegetables, the taste is sweet and rich, and the aftertaste is long and pleasant. This light and fresh tea is like the juice of a magic forest, an invigorating and delightful drinking experience!
Story of TeeMaa Songzhen:
Songzhen ("Pine needles") is a historically famous green tea from Anhua. Our first flush Songzhen this year is also special in many ways. The raw material is picked from the forest. Some of them are wild tea trees, some are wild arbor tea trees that were planted many decades ago, later abandoned and became a harmonious part of nature.
The tea maker is TeeMaa's owner Peng's relative. He has been passionate about making tea and made excellent red tea and this year also green tea for us.
This green tea is a wonderful treat, with very rich flavors and thick mouthfeel. It is not the softest first flush green tea, but a powerful one! We can notice aroma and taste nuances that remind of pine forest, grass, flower, a hint of smokiness and wood.
